	Denver Ronald McDonald House Gives Hope a Second Home
The Denver Ronald McDonald House has given hope a second home! We proudly opened our brand new 76,000 square foot facility near the Fitzsimons Medical Campus in March. The addition of this second house will allow us to help an additional 45 families each evening, a much needed and welcome advantage.   The Denver House, which can accommodate 31 families, is full every single night. With the second house, we will be in close proximity to the medical facilities that we are able to serve and alleviate the concern of many families who have nowhere to stay while their children are being treated at local hospitals.   Besides offering all of the necessities of home Š 3 large kitchens, two laundry facilities, comfortable television rooms and more Š the second Ronald McDonald House includes some play areas for the kids that canÕt be topped! Thanks to The Starlight Starbright Foundation, who funded a play room that is large enough to ride a bike inside of. The room includes 3D murals on the wall, flooring that looks like an outdoor park and a ceiling complete with twinkling lights. A reading room provided by, and decorated in the motif of, the NFLÕs Denver Broncos is a hit with our families.   The second house would not have been possible without the support of many local businesses in our community. HealthOne donated the land on which the house was built. From beds to sofas, Furniture Row provided all of the furniture in the house. The kitchen equipment came from Roth Distributing. All of the flooring in the house was provided by Arizona Tile and Lumber Liquidators and the paint was donated by Benjamin Moore. Thanks to The Colorado Garden and Home Show and All Things Green for the landscaping and to Primrose Schools for our playground!   After a year in the making, it is with great pride that we welcome our newest home-away-from-home!
